Tualatin Valley Beekeepers is a non-profit organization of beekeepers that provides community, advocacy, and education for those interested in raising honey bees and supporting their presence in the environment.
TVBA offers monthly social and educational meetings, as well as monthly newsletters and an annual Bee School covering all of the basics of keeping bees in March. Members have access to our honey extraction facility and mentoring support is available for new beekeepers..
TVBA provides community education about honeybees, beekeeping, and pollinators for schools and outreach events.
Newsletter and Monthly Meetings
TVBA meets monthly on the last Tuesday of the month at 6:00PM (social and question time until 7:00pm, when a special educational presentation begins.
In July we have picnic and hands-on Bee Day instead of the usual meeting.

2018 Bee School Registration will begin in January.
Our annual Bee School comprises approximately
10 hours of classroom study over the course of two nights, a Saturday morning in March, plus a follow-up session in June.

Text for Bee School is "The Beekeeper’s Handbook, fourth edition." (A copy of the book comes with Bee School registration).
2017 Bee School registration fee was $60 dollars, which included the four sessions of class time, family membership in TVBA for the year and a copy of The Beekeeper’s Handbook, 4th ed, a comprehensive beekeeping reference book also used by the Oregon State Master Beekeeping Program.
